The S&S Power Tune Dual header system is not just an end to the headache of the constantly failing stock "Y pipe" header design. With an improved pipe bend profile, the exhaust heat is moved farther away from the rider and passenger. A hidden crossover chamber provides classic true dual styling, but provides the improved midrange torque and horsepower of a 2-1 system.

Had this pipe installed this winter, enhanced the looks to match the new style of header routing on Touring Models. Way better heath dissipation. Excellent finish. Power rose after dyno run from 88rwhp to 99.7 - Tq from 108 to 112. (Stage 2: Redshift 575, SE AC, V&H 450)

    Great pipes

Added these to my Street Glide recently. They fit great, instructions were complete and they sound amazing. Did notice a little seat of the pants change in power. The pipes seem to be great quality and the chrome shields are also very nice. I would note that if you have a rear stabilizer on the bike to prevent "bagger boogie" they are not compatible with that, at least they were not with mine.

    Outstanding!

2015 Roadglide. Replaced stock headers and scremin eagle mufflers with Power Duals headers and Slash Cut mufflers without baffles. Looks and sounds like a dragster that throws me back when I shift.

What a difference over stock pipes

Posted by Unknown on May 8th 2019

2004 Road King withstock header pipes and Sreaming Eagle mufflers... Previously (4,000 miles earlier) I installed S&S 510 Cam, updated oil pump and cam plate with a noticable difference in performance, due to the cam. Used Power Tune to map new settings. The engine ran a little rougher because of the almost double valve overlap over the stock cam, but a definite change in performance. The exhaust sound also changed quite a bit. A lot of "rappy" type sound at higher RPM but nice unbalanced sound at lower RPM.. I heard a small exhaust leak at the rear flange and discovered the header pipe was cracking. 72k miles on eng. After looking at all the options, S&S looked the best to me for design and cost. I have 38 years experience with G.M and have a deep technical knowledge of design and performance. The S&S design is exactly what this motor needed after getting the cam upgrade. The engine smoothed out, the exhaust doesn't sound challenged anymore as it did with the stock head pipes. The exhaust sounds and works so much smoother having a true, well placed and balanced cross-over connection. The left exhaust with the old header pipes always had lower volume due to a poor designed header. You could actually feel the difference L+R at idle and under load. Not any more. Now, both sides run evenly and smoothly. A true dual exhaust was definitely not an option, there's a large advantage with a well placed and balance cross-over, gaining mainly a little horsepower and a definite smoother exhaust performance.
