Excellent quality and sound
S&S always has a big tent at Sturgis, so I bought my El Dorado system from them while I was in Rapid City in August 2020. It took about 3,000 miles for the mufflers/converters to break in, but afterward I was rewarded with a throaty tone and good performance. No ECM changes were needed since the new mufflers had catalytic converters in them. This set up moved the Harley-Davidson catalytic converter from under my passenger's right foot to the mufflers under the saddlebags, and away from my right leg. Chrome plating quality is perfect, the mufflers now have the same inside diameter in the inlets for even scavenging, and the drop in heat under the rider and passenger is a great gift on a hot day in slow traffic. This is exactly the kind of quality and performance I've learned to expect from S&S.

El Dorado System is a bit Hit at my house
Ride: stock 2009 Road King 15K miles. I bought used 3 months ago. Problem: 1) can't hear RPM's, 2) passenger Right foot excessive heat from CAT 3) Needs to be a CARB compliant solution to maintain ESP. (Yes I'm Kalifornicated) Solution Options: I could find only 2 systems CARB compliant. 1) competitor Power Duals but has CAT in same place. 2) The El Dorado MK 45 system from S&S. Removed Stock and installed the El Dorado in about 4 hours. Looks awesome, very nice quality, sound is louder than stock but not obnoxious at all with a deeper tone. RPM's can be heard at any speed. I feel like I'm on a Harley now. Heat problem all gone. After a recent 2 up ride I asked her about it and she had totally forgotten about the previous problem. No tune has been done as I mentioned everything else is stock. I can not notice any loss of power or torque. Very happy with this system.
