DB Reducer for dyna slash cut grand national
Took one of these out to look inside the muffler. Took one look at the big spiral baffle and thought these mufflers will be way too loud with this db reducer removed so promptly put it back in. So sorry, can't say how loud the grand national slash cut dyna slip on's are with not db reducer. The db reducer has a cap blocking the end of the tube and just a few small holes at the capped end of the tube ( engine end of tube ) and looks light it might not flow much but they flow really well. Not quite the flow ( very marginal difference ) of a thunder header but a lot less noise. The grand national slash cuts on my evo dyna are not too loud at idle but sound awesome under power. Amazing they can comply with 96 db limit with db reducer in because the sound is big and throaty. I thought i would like it a bit less loud so i removed the baffles and wrapped them with 12mm stove rope. This worked really well to cut the overall sound right back and tested to be 79 db using the sound app on my phone. After a short ride in quiet and legal mode i made the decision to remove the stove rope and go loud again. The sound these mufflers make straight out of the box makes my evo dyna sound like a hot rod and that is how they will stay. Well done to the team at S & S !!!!!
